# Video

> Animate images, generate and extend clips, edit and upscale video.

All video generation uses MiniMax H3 (see [Models](/guides/models#video)). Editing and upscaling run on core ComfyUI nodes.

## Animate an image

Select an image and click **Animate Image**. Describe the motion, or leave the prompt empty for a gentle default motion.

* **Loop** is on by default: the first frame is reused as the last frame, so the clip plays seamlessly.
* The result is an animated image that keeps the original ratio.

## Generate a video

Switch the bottom generator to video. You can start from text only, give a first frame, and optionally a last frame. Pick a ratio (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9), a duration of 5 or 10 seconds and a camera motion preset.

**Storyboard** splits one idea into up to 6 scenes (30 seconds in total) with consistent characters and style, and generates them in order. With the Agent enabled, smart storyboard writes the scenes for you.

## Edit a video

Select a video for its toolbar:

* **Trim** and **Extend** (continue the clip from its last frame with a new prompt).
* **Video editor**: split, trim, transitions, subtitles, volume and speed, then export as a new clip or replace the original.
* **Upscale** to 1080p, 2K or 4K. Audio and frame rate are kept.

The preview lightbox has a mute toggle.
